Ted Cruz Sings Amazing Grace, Gilligan's Island Style

Right near the top of my list of things I never needed to hear is the singing voice of Ted Cruz, everyone's favorite homophobic, misogynistic junior senator from Texas.

Yet a clip has surfaced of that very thing. So of course I'm going to share it with all of you and spread the misery around.

In the video, Cruz is speaking to the congregation of First Baptist Church in Dallas. Apparently attempting to be funny, he tells the crowd something that most of them probably already know: the words of "Amazing Grace" can be sung to the tune of the theme from Gilligan's Island.

And then he demonstrates. Badly. Raw Story calls Cruz's abysmally awful singing voice "reason No. 437 why it is highly unlikely that [he] will ever be president."
