rachel_maddow_DOMA.pngLast Sunday on Meet the Press, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow faced off against former GOP Senator Jim DeMint, who now heads the anti-gay Heritage Foundation, and Ralph Reed, the disgraced former head of the Christian Coalition and current head of the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

The subject was marriage equality and last week's historic rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court striking down DOMA and ending California's Proposition 8.

DeMint whined that Justice Kennedy, who used the word "dignity" ten times in his majority opinion, was actually attacking the dignity of those Americans who support marriage discrimination.

Maddow would have none of it, and her response was brilliant. Watch, after the jump. The exchange starts at about the 6:45 mark.
