godney.jpgFellow Britney Spears fans, rejoice! An audition notice just went up on Playbill.com for an exciting new musical, SPEARS: The Gospel According to Britney.

According to the listing, SPEARS uses 27 of the pop diva's greatest hits to tell the story of Jesus -- from the incarnation in Mary's womb through the resurrection. Producers are looking for actors, singers, dancers, and pop-music aficionados, as well as a stage manager, assistant choreographer, and rehearsal pianist. "Come audition and tell the greatest story ever told, through the greatest music ever written," the listing reads.

The project, which was originally financed by a Kickstarter campaign, debuted at Columbia University last year.

I personally can't wait to see this musical. I'll be excited to see how they incorporate my favorite Britney song (which also happens to be her best song of all time), "I'm a Slave 4 U."

Just for fun, I've included a video of Britney's legendary performance of "Slave" at the 2001 VMAs after the jump. Enjoy!

What's your favorite Britney Godney song?
