mr_balls_1.jpgThe Associação de Assistência às Pessoas com Câncer is a Brazilian nonprofit organization that's taken a rather unusual approach to raising awareness about testicular cancer: adopting a scrotum as its mascot.

Meet Senhor Testiculo, also known as Mr. Balls. He's several feet tall and has wide eyes, jaunty eyebrows, plump cheeks, buck teeth, and dozens of curly pubes. He apparently makes public appearances and is quite popular; the AAPEC's website says that "both children and adults [love] taking pictures" with the mascot.

It also rather delicately describes Mr. Balls as "a friendly snowman in the shape of a testicle."

Don't get me wrong, testicular cancer awareness is an incredibly important mission, but I, for one, never made a snowman that looked quite like this.

More photos of Mr. Balls are after the jump.
