kids_react_to_marriage_proposals.jpgHere's a smile to end your day: a new video from Fine Brothers Productions is making the rounds on the Internet today that shows kids' unvarnished reactions to same-sex marriage proposals and unscripted thoughts about marriage equality, "ex-gay" therapy, anti-LGBT discrimination, hate crimes, and religion-based homophobia.

Filmmakers Benny and Rafi Fine interviewed 13 children from California between the ages of 5 and 13 after showing them two same-sex wedding proposals that recently went viral. The brothers write:

The opinions of children about these issues can give incredibly valuable insight into where our society currently stands and where we are headed as people. It's important to discuss these topics openly in hopes of a better tomorrow through dialogue and conversation.

The Fines are right, of course, and if the kids they interviewed are any indication, we're headed for a better tomorrow indeed. Watch their heartwarming video after the jump. It's long (16 minutes), but well worth the time.
