In Russia, Gay-Bashing Is an Olympic Sport

Here's another one of the video protests circulating around the Internet in response to Russia's anti-LGBT crackdown and its hosting of the Olympic Games. It's similar to the Jon Stewart segment we brought you a few weeks ago -- where he skewers the "2014 Sochi Homophobic Olympics" -- only much, much darker. The video depicts gay-bashing as an Olympic sport, complete with judges and throngs of cheering fans.

It also wisely highlights some of the other countries where LGBT people are persecuted. Standing alongside Russia atop the medals podium are gay-bashers from Uganda and Iran; Belize and Saudi Arabia are also called out by name.
