Legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson recently sat down for a live, on-air interview with KTLA entertainment anchor Sam Rubin to promote his new movie RoboCop. The segment took a cringe-inducing turn when Rubin - a multiple-Emmy winner according to his station bio - asked Jackson whether he'd had a lot of reaction to his Super Bowl commercial.
Cue the awkward pause. "What Super Bowl commercial?" Jackson asked. See, he didn't do a Super Bowl commercial - that was fellow award-winning actor Laurence Fishburne.
Rubin, naturally, was mortified, and Jackson took him to task for the mistake. "We don't all look alike," Jackson scolded. "We may be all black and famous, but we don't all look alike! You're busted."
As Rubin apologized, Jackson continued. "You're the entertainment reporter for this station, and you don't know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne?" he said. "There must be a very short line for your job."
Jackson delivered what Rubin termed a "well-deserved spanking," and it's absolutely epic. Watch, after the jump.
