zne-jb-harveymilk.jpgToday, the United States Postal Service officially revealed the design for the new Harvey Milk postage stamp and announced that it's available for pre-order on the USPS website.

The design is the one we reported on here at The Bilerico Project earlier this month. The Harvey Milk stamp will go on sale on May 22, the same day that the White House hosts the official unveiling event.

Pre-ordered sets of Harvey Milk stamps will ship out at that time. To get yours, click here.

The USPS calls Milk a "visionary leader" and an "iconic figure in the struggle for gay civil rights," and says it's proud to honor Milk's life and legacy.

The Harvey Milk stamp will be the first U.S. postage stamp to feature an openly LGBT elected official.
