mike-huckabee-pointing.jpgOn Tuesday, former Arkansas governor, Fox News host, and noted anti-LGBT extremist Mike Huckabee delivered the keynote address at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition's spring fundraiser. During his speech, Huckabee continued to defend his anti-marriage equality position by claiming that he doesn't have a problem with gay people, but the Bible does.

Yes, you read that right: he doesn't have a problem with the LGBT community, but the Bible does.

Huckabee said:

"I'm not against anybody. I'm really not. I'm not a hater. I'm not homophobic. I honestly don't care what people do personally in their individual lives. But when people say, 'Why don't you just kind of get on the right side of history?' I said, 'You've got to understand, this for me is not about the right side or the wrong side of history, this is the right side of the Bible, and unless God rewrites it, edits it, sends it down with his signature on it, it's not my book to change.' Folks, that's why I stand where I stand."

It is rumored that Huckabee is considering a second run at the presidency in 2016. Pundits are already speculating, two years away from the election, that he would be a formidable opponent if he were to win the GOP primary. Huckabee consistently does well in GOP polls, and he placed first in a recent WPA Research poll.
