Abigail's X-Rated Teen Diary

Nine Simone released this powerful song in 1969, the year that LGBT people shouted "no more" and defended the Stonewall Inn from an invasion by police. While the song is about the Black Civil Rights Movement, it fits the political moment we're in now as we enter an amazing new stage of the LGBT movement that's fueled in part by the passage of Prop 8 and the other anti-gay amendments.
Comment questions of the day:
1. Which song do you like better? Single Ladies or If I Were A Boy?
2. Is PETA too aggressive in their efforts to fight fur?
3. Do you root for Lohan to comeback?
4. What do you think of Fred and Nigahiga?

"This use of religious beliefs to block basic civil rights undermines the separation of church and state in this nation. The basis of that separation lies in the experience of early American colonists who had fled religious persecution elsewhere to pursue tolerance, acceptance and freedom in the "new" world.
Latinos, as well as other groups, should have an honest conversation about homophobia. Discrimination, whether within or outside of our communities, on the basis of color, immigration status, gender or sexuality is just not acceptable."
