"For a man, he was gorgeous." That's the quote the New York Times chose to go with when Lorena Escalera, a transgender woman, died in a suspicious late night fire. How about "She was gorgeous for a lesbian" in reference to a fire victim? Or "she was gorgeous for a Jew"? Would those simply be problems with word choice?Read More
