H. Alexander Robinson currently serves as the executive director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Black Justice Coalition, and president of NBJC Action Fund. NBJC is the nation’s black same-gender loving, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization.

A former CPA and corporate executive, Robinson holds BS in accounting and political science and an MBA. As president of Robinson & Foster he is an independent political strategist and communications specialist serving a wide variety of public interest groups and candidate.

Robinson was the senior congressional lobbyist for the American Civil Liberties Union Gay and Lesbian Rights and AIDS Projects and formerly served as the Director of the Washington, DC-based Inner City AIDS Network, Deputy Executive Director for the National Minority AIDS Council and the Director of Public Policy for the Drug Policy Foundation.

The receipt of numerous awards including most recently the Andrew Goodman Freedom Prize. He served on the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS during the Clinton administration. A writer and political commentator his coming out story is chronicled in the recently released book, Crisis: 40 Stories Revealing the Personal, Social, and Religious Pain and Trauma of Growing up Gay in America.
