At a Glance:Leone Kraus has been a Project Contributor since August 2010, has written 57 entries and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Leone is a Masters candidate at New York University for a degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications.
During the day, Leone works in the business development department of Blue State Digital. At night and on the weekends when she is not attending classes or doing homework, she pens her marketing, PR and social media blog, krausnotes.com. She also aids a variety of LGBT clients with their social media and public relations needs.
Leone became a social media addict as early as the 1990s, just as Aol, which was then known as America Online, became popular. Otherwise isolated in the depths of the Midwest, chat rooms provided a great way to meet like-minded peers and other LGBT youth. Leone immediately recognized the pivotal role of these new platforms in bringing people together. Now, she is analyzing social media and its ability to engage, and to enhance and amplify the Equality for All messaging.
