You may notice the little box on the right of the page. It's a contribution block from ActBlue, a progressive organization raising funds for Democrats all over the country. Steph, from A Commonplace Book, setup the ActBlue account and is sharing it with all of her blogging friends in these final hours of the election cycle.

Please give money to one or more of these fine candidates. I personally know the majority of them and it gives me great pleasure to help them achieve victory.

If you're looking for another way to make a difference, here's your chance...

Any money donated to the PayPal (It's on the left side of the page!!) account between now and Election Day will be donated to Indiana Stonewall Democrats. As ISD's newest board member, I can attest that we've been very active in this election cycle. We're supporting the 6 in '06 candidates and working with other progressive organizations to maximize our impact.

Don't sit on your duff and complain, ActBlue and make a difference. $5, $25, or $250...Whatever you have, these candidates would all be glad to have it. No amount is too small!

Election day is just over a week away. Don't wake up on November 8th wishing you'd have done more. Do it now!

Please consider Barry Walsh, running against Pence in the 6th District. He opposes amending the Constitution to ban marriage equality and supports DOMA repeal, despite that he personally and professionally as a preacher it's not something he's spiritually comfortable with enough to say he approves. That's someone who really understands the difference between civil and religious marriage and who has very thoughtfully come to the same conclusion about the appropriate roles of church and state that Thomas Jefferson and James Madison did when they conceived the First Amendment.

He's six points down and it's a tough district but he deserves at least some tangible statement that his is a courageous stand we support.
