That special day

Today is a special day. It's our daughter's birthday and is also my best friend, Eri's, birthday too. (If you leave a comment, please remember that we don't say our daughter's name on the blog. Notice her face is covered in the picture too. It's a privacy/protection thing for her.)

Today is our daughter's 13th birthday. She's a teenager; it's official. I feel so damn old! We took her to Olive Garden (her choice) and shopping for clothes. She got really lucky - today and tomorrow she has off of school for Fall Break.

And then there's Eri. She has the patience of a saint, the laughter of an angel, and the beauty of a goddess. She's the best friend I've ever had and if our daughter acts like Eri when she grows up, I'd be the happiest father in existence.

As most of you know, Eri is the "middle" part of Bil-Eri-Co. Our daughter is the middle of my soul. Together, it was a special day for two very powerful women in my life. Happy Birthday to both of you - and may you have many, many, many more.

That is a beautiful photo! Wow - your daughter is a teenager now! I hope you have the patience of a saint! I remember what it was like to be a 13-year-old girl. To Daughter - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a beautiful, lovely young woman! Enjoy your teenage years and don't drive your parents too crazy!!!!

Happy birthday to both, especially that daughter. She's a great person, lucky to have you two dads.

When I first saw the picture, I thought that maybe (insert name) was just being a typical teenager... But, I wanted to give you all kudos for letting (insert name) be a kid. She's a nice girl and I've enjoyed getting the chance to know your family this year. Happy 13th birthday to her!
