Here are a few stories that we didn't get to this week at Bilerico:

  • The Senate introduced a bill to inlude sexual orientation in current federal hate crimes law. It's named for Matthew Shepard. (Washington Post)

  • The Colorado Senate passed a bill to allow any unmarried couple to adopt children together. It already passed the House. (Denver Post)

  • The Washington General Assembly passed a domestic partnership law similar to California's. Governor Gregoire is expected to sign it. (Seattle Post-Intelligencer)

  • Kansas just passed a law that will force the Phelps clan to stay further away at their funeral protests. (Wichita Eagle)

  • The Task Force is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever attacked Andrew Anthos. (NGLTF)

  • The Soulforce Equality Riders had a positive experience at George Fox University. (Soulforce)
