What's up with this?

I don't even know what kind of fear-mongering this is supposed to be.

A video produced by those folks at The Jawa Report has been making its way around the conservative blogosphere. Let's just say that they don't like the new immigration bill, and not because it'll separate families (it almost seems as though all that pro-family rhetoric was just made up to oppress queer people... hmmmmm). border.JPG
It's the same old stuff that they've been pulling for years now - all immigrants are gang members, they want to start a civil war in the US so that Mexico can steal American land, the US is going to be overrun with brown people - but there is this one part that kind of made me stop and wonder what was going on. The video lists all the people who would be allowed to apply for a Z-visa (apparently being allowed to apply for something is the same as getting it, but hey, Republicans have never said no to a good scare tactic), and the first group mentioned, well, the screenshot's above.

Besides the fact that this is just working with the same old "lesbians were created for heterosexual male consumption" paradigm, I really have no idea what it's doing in a conservative anti-immigration video. It's been promoted by Michelle Malkin (she even called for people to pass it along to the White House) among other conservative bloggers, so I'm thinking it's supposed to make sense.

What do you all think? Full video's after the jump.

WTF??? Given that all the other "every...." were all much smaller and without a picture.... Hmmmm... maybe, "every hot lesbian" is the best thing about this immigration bill, and therefore they felt the need to better highlight that point...

...that video makes about as much sense as the pot PSA we were discussing earlier... And seriously, if they're AGAINST the bill, why did they put in the hot lesbian? Wouldn't their target audience be all for letting in more hot lesbians? (I know I am.)

I think "fear of take-over by brown people" is about as ridiculous as the "fear that same sex marriage will ruin het marriage."

Yeah, and it's the only "every" that gets a pic too. but unlike the pot PSA this is being pushed by the biggest conservative pundits out there, and that part at least makes no sense whatsoever.

Then again, that's the GOP 2007

Well, maybe the conservatives were smoking pot when they made the video. Problem solved. *grins*
