I'm going to be working for a lot of this morning, so I thought I'd put up a conversation starter to keep you occupied until other contributors post.

A majority of young Brits would rather give up sex, coffee, alcohol, or chocolate than live without their cell phone for a month, according to a recent survey. What could you not give up for a month?

I'm going to have to go with the internet. While it would make things hard, I could give up the cell for a month (I'd enjoy the peace and quiet!), but not being able to check out the Project and other favorite blogs? Giving up the ease of getting directions, phone numbers or how late someplace is open? No way. Chocolate comes in second place though. Mmmmmm. Chocolate...

That is a hard oneā€¦..

For me it would be a toss up..
Between my pocket short wave radio or the internet.
Since I listen to the alternative media more then the mainstream media I get my favorite shows on ether the internet of domestic short wave radio.

Well, considering I once lived without electricity, running water, phone, internet, car...for over two years...and lived to tell about it, I'd have to say the one thing I couldn't give up for a month would be comfortable shoes!

Water. I couldn't go for a month without it. I admit, I'm addicted.
