To those who think that Idaho Senator's "intent to resign" at the end of this month will cause the whole shoe-tapping episode to fade from the public mind well before Election 2008, consider this:

The September 2008 Republican national nominating convention will be held in.....ta daaaa.........Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota. A very high percentage of delegates and dignataries will arrive at the big event via......ta daaaa......Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport. I think it's sort of symbolic, don't you? A continuing reminder of the Grand Old Party's message to its base..

For those convention-bound members of the Party of Lincoln-Gone-Astray these two maps, one of the airport's Lindbergh Terminal, and the other of the Humphrey Terminal, may be of assistance in locating caucus facilities and charting iteneraries between sessions (or is it sessions between iteneraries?). Since Hubert Humphrey was a Democrat, waiting/watching times there may be less for tapping into something. Elephants in the room welcome at all times. And no "copping out" by driving or taking the train/bus instead.
