Waymon Hudson had so much fun guest posting on The Bilerico Project he's decided to join the family! His post "Why Tolerate Tolerance" was one of our most popular posts last week and we're happy to have him joining the Project. Waymon is President and Co-Founder of Fight OUT Loud, a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) individuals fight discrimination and hate. He is a vocal community activist and LGBT rights advocate. He is also a political columnist for the online magazine Waymon has been one of the leaders in the fight against Mayor Jim Naugle of Fort Lauderdale and his recent string of anti-gay comments.

Take a moment to welcome him to the site and wish him well. (Just don't tell him about the initiation ceremony!)

Initiation ceremony? I don't know whether to be frightened or excited!

Seriously, I am honored and excited to be part of the Bilerico Family.

Thank you for having me! I look forward to lots of great discussions, debates, and feedback!

All I can say is that if you hear "Thank you sir, may I have another?" run, young man, run like hell...

Seriously though, welcome! You're gonna fit right in with this crowd! :)

No, no, no, Rebecca. Each initiation is tailor-made. His won't be the same as yours... *grins*

Welcome, Waymon. Glad to have you on the team.

I must be missing out on these initiation ceremonies. They sound like loads of fun. Why do I always miss the good times?

Seriously. Have fun with it. Be provocative and say your mind and you'll have plenty of comments and lots of readers.

Congrats! The entire GaySOFLA Team is extremely proud of you. Your passion and your talent will continue to take you to great heights and your impact will be felt by legions. Just don't forgot about the 'little guys' when you reach the top!

Much Respect,

David L. Wylie, Sr. Editor

Hi, Waymon! You keep generating flack against Mayor Naugle, and I'll keep making all those corny Fort-Lauderdale-is-the-john-sex-capital-of-the-world jokes! (I mean, after all, we all know that it really is ...)
