Here's what's going to happen:

Third presidential debate: the economy and domestic policy, moderated by Bob Schieffer

Wednesday, October 15, Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y. [9 PM Eastern]

-Two-minute answers, followed by five-minute discussion for each question. Two-minute closing statements.

Stop by TBP tonight and we'll have an open thread up to bounce around the conversation during the debate. Bil and I will be around, and so will several of the contributors. I'll also post when/if anything LGBT gets asked.

Both Obama and Biden have called McCain a coward for not calling Obama a terrorist to his face, and McCain promised to whip Obama's "you-know-what" tonight. I'm hoping Grumpy has one of his classic outbursts, flappin' his arms about how That One is a hippie, commie, elitist, anti-white racist, Muslim, gay, cocaine-snorting, election-stealing, mob-financed terrorist pal-arounder.

McCain will not even have to melt down, though that would be entertaining. If he keeps on the same tack he is already screwing up constantly. His desperation is showing a lot, and Palin is just a comedy of errors.

I think we should steal an idea from Conan O'Brien: Have the debate and videotape it but don't broadcast it --- then we let some animators take a few days going through it and re-shoot it using Clay-mation.

Hey, Mr. Bill could even play ... Mr. Bill.

It should be fun tonight in the open thread. Sara Whitman and Michael Crawford have both confirmed that they'd be here along with Alex and I.
