Today is the the day. Today we change the world.

We won't be posting today until the first polls close at 6pm EST. Instead, our contributors will be out working to elect their candidate of choice or defeat Amendment 2. Consider this an open thread to discuss events that happen while we're out. If you're out and about today, keep BP-FL in mind. Send me an e-mail if you have problems voting, snap any good pictures, want to send any tips or report any polling place preliminary results.

When we come back, we'll have a liveblog/chat for the election results that'll stay on top. We'll also have separate posts underneath for Amendment 2, Prop 8, the presidential election, general election results and the Arizona amendment with regular updates from various contributors around the nation to those posts. The general comments section will be available for all the separate posts too.

Make sure you know where your polling place is and go vote. After you've voted, walk to the nearest campaign office and volunteer your time to get more people out to vote.

Don't expect us to be around until 6; we won't expect you to be visiting. There's too much work to be done to sit around in front of our computers today.

Want to watch election results and blog live with me tonight? Come to the South Florida GLBT GOTV Center:

7pm till ??
2040B N Dixie Highway
Wliton Manors, FL 33305

Get out, vote, and then go volunteer!!
