Dating and domestic violence is a serious issue that many people never do anything about until someone is either rushed to an emergency room or when courts intervene.

On Tuesday, December 16, 2008, the Gay & Lesbian Domestic Violence Coalition is hosting a special forum on dating & domestic violence at the GLCC.

Schedule of Events & Speakers:

6:15-7:00 - Resource Fair Services Providers, such as Women in Distress, Coast to Coast Legal Aid, Broward Clerk of Courts, SunServe, GLCC, Henderson, and others will have tables providing information on their services.

6:30-7:00 - Light Food and Drinks Provided

7:00-7:30 - Youth Dating Violence Presentations Providers of LGBT Youth Services will offer short presentations on Identification of Characteristics and Patterns of Dating Violence within the youth community, Safety Planning, Legal Remedies, The Schools System's Initiatives and Resources for Help.

7:30-8:00 - Adult Domestic and Dating Violence Presentations Providers of Services for Adults will offer short presentations on Identification of Signs and Symptoms of Dating and Domestic Violence, Safety Planning, and Legal Remedies and Resources for Help.

8:30-8:30 - Questions & Answer Session
