You know that feeling you get down your spine that makes you tingle and shake? My mom used to say that "Someone just stepped over your grave."

Mitch Daniels for President. Yeah, that's the feeling all right. Did you get it too?

I was reading some Freeper comments concerning Sarah - I can't govern and deal with being in the spotlight at the same time - Palin and they got into a discussion of who might be a good presidential candidate for the republicans, if not Palin. Someone brought up Mitch Daniels, to which the most common answer was, Mitch who?

So does this mean Mitch is resigning as governor too? Palin told ABC News that if she were president that at least she'd have a 'department of law' which would get most all ethics violations put aside. Apart from the fact that there is no 'department of law' Palin shows a poor understanding of the workings of the US government, special prosecutors, and perhaps even the idea that a president may be impeached. I shudder to think that she got these ideas from the imperiousness of the preceeding republican administration.

So maybe Mitch 'Do Nothing' Daniels wouldn't be so bad. If I were religious I'd start praying now that the republicans picked him over Palin.

Somebody should start a website called:
Americans for "Ditch Mitch"

"Mitch Daniels For President" makes the same feeling run down my spine that "Dan Quail For President" did several years ago. But wouldn't call that feeling weird --- I would call it hilarious laughter.

Among Hoosiers, Richard Lugar has a far better chance of becoming President someday ... if he ever were to decide that he wants that job. Lee Hamilton (yes, I know he's a Democrat) would be a better possibility as well.

And then there is still David Letterman --- though he would have to take an enormous cut in pay.

Sorry, obviously I should have typed "Dan Quayle".
