How will Delaware's Senators Tom Carper and Ted Kaufman vote on S1584, Carper.jpgKaufman.jpgthe Employment Non-Discrimination Act? We don't know, since they have not yet indicated their positions. Please call them and ask them to co-sponsor S1584.

Contact info and more after the jump.

Both Carper, a former Governor and Representative of Delaware, and Kaufman, long-time adviser to VP Joe Biden, have previously co-sponsored bills containing the language of sexual orientation and gender identity. That's a good sign that they are LGBT-friendly.

It's even more remarkable for Kaufman, who was only recently appointed to replace VP Joe Biden until the special election in 2010, in which he has said he will not run. No hesitation there.

Both Carper and Kaufman voted for the hate crimes law. However, neither of them are co-sponsors of S1584, the Senate version of ENDA, nor have they publicly indicated their positions.

Delaware's only Representative, Republican Michael Castle, is a co-sponsor of ENDA in the House.

Please call Carper and Kaufman, and ask them to co-sponsor S1584, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
