As if DC residents didn't have enough to deal with, the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) is bringing it's anti-gay storm to the District.

You remember NOM, right? They're the group responsible for the hysterically over-the-top anti-marriage ad The Gathering Storm. Even more relevant to those of us in DC is that NOM is responsible for this radio ad:

NOM is saying that it will focus it's efforts at the federal level, but you can bet NOM's Executive Director Brian Brown and anti-gay Bishop Harry Jackson are united in opposition to marriage equality in DC.

This fall we expect that a marriage bill will be introduced in the DC City Council and with it will come NOM led attacks against gay and lesbian families.

We know what to expect from NOM: fear, lies, and hysteria.

We will be ready.
