With Nick Rice, future Bilerico NYC blogger, I attended Hard Medicine, a fundraising event dedicated to supporting the work of Dr. Benjamin Adler and Dr. Sudhir Paul. Dr. Paul has committed the last 26 years to searching for a cure for HIV after accidentally discovering antibodies with catalytic activity in one of his patients in the 1980's. These antibodies are called abzymes. Hard Medicine is the official launch of Covalent Immunology Foundation (CIF), a 501 c3, and its new website, endhiv.com.

Entertainment provided by that hot DJ Josh Sparber, and rapper Amanda Blank.

The crowd was extremely pretty. As you will see in the photos that follow, fashion seems to have moved into a new creative pandrogynous permissiveness in which you combine all sorts of diverse elements to create an arresting and intriguing persona of often indeterminate sex and sexuality. Hot.

I like CIF's strategy: raise the needed millions for research and trials five dollars at a time. Please consider this and take a look at their video featuring Wilson Cruz, Lady Bunny, Angie Pontani, Thea Gill, Clifford Banagale, Kristen Renton.

Okay, I'm in for a donation.

I must say that you seem to be at the center of the universe these days. When do you sleep? And are you wearing your special edition necklace?

It looks like it was a fun event! Sorry I missed it!
