Indiana transition resources - do we have them?

A friend of mine asked me for help with gender issues, phone-book.jpgwhich is usually no big deal. We talked for a while, discussing why he felt the way he did, and what could be done to fix the issue, when I thought it'd be a good idea to introduce the idea of going to a therapist for help. This sounded like a great idea to my friend, who was eager to get started. There's only one problem: he lives in Northern Indiana.

If he lived in Indianapolis I could have given him a slew of recommendations, from therapists to doctors to hair removal clinics. But outside of Indianapolis I feel rather powerless to help beyond the "You should get help" stage. It's not like trans-friendly doctors list their services in a phone book, complete with rainbow flags and a "C'mon in!" attitude. What would be perfect is to have some sort of catalog or directory listing all the friendly doctors in the area, so I could point to a name and say "Go see this person" for their problems.

That's where you come in: I need help finding trans-friendly doctors all across the state. Who do you go to for your hormones, therapy, or general health needs? I'd love to cobble together a list for each area of the state so people can put everything together. If someone from INTRAA or some other equality org is reading this and has resources to contribute, fantastic! I'll take all the information and compile it into one larger post: "The Hitch-hiker's Guide to Transition in Indiana."
