So what's on your radar this Monday morning, Projectors? What did you read over the weekend? What tickled your fancy? Here's some of my finds; share your tips in the comments section.
- Are Glee cast members threatening to revolt if their draining schedules aren't lightened?
- The latest Badash v Bilerico faux controversy article came via Mediate. Just for the record, there is no blood feud happening, David didn't leave because of our advertising, and I still think the claims that we publish porn are overly dramatic and false. Box Turtle Bulletin also weighs in with a reasoned response.
- In related news, the San Francisco Bay Times asks "Is There a Crisis in Gay Journalism?"
- Gay activist and friend of the Project, Fred Karger, is testing the waters for a Presidential run as a Republican. Fred is best known for his activism around Prop 8 and the boycott of the Manchester Hotel.
- The Boston Globe reports that state Republicans chose Charles Baker as their gubernatorial candidate and openly gay state senator Richard Tisei as the Lt. Guv nominees. Immediately following the vote, the two held a press conference to clarify that Baker opposes transgender rights as the "bathroom bill." Tisei did not object even though he sponsored the bill.
- Michelangelo Signorile is hosting an emergency summit of LGBT leaders this week that will be broadcast live on Sirius Radio.
- A side project of the far right American Family Association is warning it's members that Lady Gaga will appear on an upcoming episode of Glee. Someone grab the smelling salts!
