Jay Leno hosted this year's White House Correspondents' Association Dinner and his jokes matched his usual television schtick. Leno's known for being one of the least edgy comics in the business; he goes for the chuckle instead of the jugular. Last night was no exception.

President Obama, however, hit it out of the park again. At least if this whole President thing doesn't work out for him, he's got a future on the comedy club circuit. Remember last year's speech to the dinner? It's after the jump.

Honestly, I can't look at Obama and laugh at anything. Knowing what a major dissapointment
he has been so far I find nothing he says funny...just sad and with no offer of hope or change. I however do hope he does better before 2012 and proves his critics wrong. I say that not for him or his future but for us as a country and especially in the GLBT community.

This kind of clubby, insider relationship is exactly why the White House press corps has been a toothless lapdog for the past half century.

H.L. Mencken had it right: "The only way a reporter should look at a politician is down."
