It's not my birthday, but this is like getting told what your present will be early. The rumor mill is furiously reporting that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel will resign after the mid-term elections.

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is expected to quit later this year after growing weary of the "idealism" of Obama staffers who are just as frustrated with him, according to sources. He'll likely step down after midterm elections, reports the Telegraph. Emanuel still maintains a good relationship with the president, but his rapport with staffers is fatally frayed, sources said...

His abrasive style and willingness to make major compromises have blue-dog-democrats.pngearned him White House enemies, who have also been frustrated by his inability to pave the way for the president's legislative agenda.

Emanuel has long been rumored to be considering running for Chicago Mayor. Let's all wish him well with his potential future endeavors, hand him a cardboard box, and have security escort him to the door.

And don't let the door hit him in the ass on his way out.

It's not going to change much. Rahm was just the fall-guy, the person who could be blamed for driving the White House to the right when that's the direction it wanted to go in anyway. After the midterms Obama's going to go further to the right to try to capture some more Republicans' votes, since the Dems will lose seats, like any mainstream Democrat would.

Apparently they ( the White House ) watches Fox News. If you listen to those fools (Fox News) there is no way for anyone who is not a dyed in the wool Republican to be patriotic or right enough and if you are not you are just somehow un-American.
