Jerame and I got our official White House invitations to witness President Obama sign the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell into law. We were invited separately by different areas of the administration. Apparently you can't bring a date to a presidential bill signing ceremony!

We're both going as guests and contributor Joe Mirabella is flying in from Seattle to cover the event with Bilerico Project's press pass. The ceremony starts at 9:15am Eastern time tomorrow morning. Follow me on Twitter if you want to catch my tweets from the event.

Congrats to both of you! How exciting to be there for this historic moment!

That is quite an honor, Congratulations!

I am so glad you will be there in a way to represent all of us who cannot be there but who have hoped and fought for years to get this done! Enjoy it and take pictures if you can!

I only wish it was a public ceremony. If so I'd be there, even if it meant this lazy retired guy had to get up at 6AM instead of his usual 11-12 noon out of bed time.

But congratulations, and never forget that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. Just like the Taliban monsters, our own talibangelicals - the southern white baptist church which gave us slavery the KKK, and segregation , have a new group to hate. the gays. And victims of the mental disorder called Obsessive Compulsive personality disorder = religious absolutists never give up until the maggots get them for food.

That's really cool that you get to attend Bil

Congratulations. In a small way, we'll all be there with you. Now, aren't you glad you moved to DC? ;-)

Great. BTW while you are there could you ask WTF is going on with ENDA with everyone and why that wasn't priority one?

Actually Mark, Obama addresses that in a newly-published interview with Kerry Eleveld of the Advocate. You can read it here.

Just watched the historic ceremony knowing that the two of you were there; what a wonderful moment not only for our movement but for our country as well. Congratulations!
