Bass guitarist Josephine Wiggs was one of the original members of the 90's alternative rock band the Breeders. She left the group to pursue collaborations with other artists and solo work.

Even if you don't know her name, you've probably heard her work. The Breeders' huge hit "Cannonball" is one of my favorite recordings because of that bass riff that Wiggs brought to it.

This is a live performance of "Iris" from Pod, an earlier Breeders album.

And here's the video fro "Divine Hammer." It doesn't feature the bass guitar as prominently, but it's still a nice song.
