What is it that politicians hold most dear? Credibilty? Reputation? Power? Find what they value and go for that. How many Politicians would run for office if they had to spend 20 years before they got retirement and lifelong medical care? That's what regular people have to do. How many of them would savage Medicare if that's what they had to depend on for their own medical services? How many would support Nuclear Power if they had to live next to the Reactor?
