Local News Segment Says Glee Will Turn People Gay

GLAAD's calling out this Houston-area Fox affiliate for running this "debate" on whether TV is getting too gay because Glee had a Lady Gaga episode (I'm still looking for the debate on whether Two and a Half Men is too much heterosexuality for TV...).

The anchor compares gay characters on TV to product placement of soft drinks, as if someone will see a gay character on TV and will turn gay without even knowing it because it's so hip. She discusses the topic with Bryan Fischer, who wants the US to invade Muslim countries and convert people through death threats and makes up facts in this segment about the evils of homosexuality, and a local gay activist who seems seems blind-sided by Fischer's media-savvy lies and, unfortunately, says that the gay blood ban has already been repealed.

So strange to see a Fox affiliate criticize one of Fox's own shows. Seems like someone is hoping to get a job on Fox News.

Superstitious homophobia at its most literal and purest.

Please no more of this, Alex. My head might explode at the rampant stupidity.

"Glee" is such an awful and silly show it will probably scare people away from becoming gay (my opinion only).

Why is it that when I saw the headline my first thought was, "Texas?"

Usually,Alex,I pride myself on giving all parties a chance to speak their minds and wait patiently for them to finish.

This was just too much.I think I am going to order another girlie drink at my favorite alternative lifestyle bar and maybe catch more gay germs.I think my hair is turning pink.....FABULOUS!!!!!!!

I don't watch Glee...and am tired of hearing Glee songs on the radio. Guess what I do?? I turn the station to someplace else. There was a time when parents actually knew what their kids were watching and listening to. If you don't like your kids watching something you think is too gay, to straight, too stupid...turn it off. Or is that just too simple?
