bewitched.jpegFollowing in the footsteps of Hawaii 5-O and Charlie's Angels, another TV classic may be getting a reboot - Bewitched.

CBS and Sony are working on a script for the remake of the comedy series. They have tapped Marc Lawrence to be the scribe and the executive producer of the show. Marc's writing work has included Miss Congeniality and Two Weeks Notice.

Bewitched was made into a feature film, one starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrel, in 2005.

So far, the new television reboot is in the very early stages of development, but it's something everyone will be talking about for the upcoming television lineup.

Great. I guess since Hollywood has proved that 'rebooting' ancient franchises is a viable alternative to creating original stories for the big screen, television doing the same was only a matter of time. Between crap like this and so-called 'reality tv,' is it any wonder that viewers are deserting the major networks in favor of smaller outlets that still produce original programming like AMC, ScyFy and the like?

Yay! Why did it ever die in the first place? And how many actresses of a certain age wouldn't kill to play Endora?
