These people scare me to death, they really do. I keep hearing that it might be best if the likes of Bachmann, Perry, Santorum, or Palin took the GOP nomination, because the president would be re-elected easily. I'm not so sure; the president is so terribly unpopular that a nutjob like one of them might be elected in an Anybody-But-Obama outcome. The mind boggles, but it might just happen. As for creepy Newt, he's not crazy; he knows how nutty these social conservatives are, but he allows them to go on their way without challenge. Same with Romney. That makes them evil, not crazy. Cain and Paul are nothings.

The first Republican who hasn't absolutely disgusted me since Lowell Weichert retired is Jon Huntsman of Utah. If I had no other choice, I could grit my teeth, close my eyes, pray for forgiveness, and vote for him.

...if all decent Democrats were dead or refused to run, that is.
