National Post Apologizes For Ad Opposing School LGBT Curriculum

"Where the ad exceeded the bounds of civil discourse was in its tone and manipulative use of a picture of a young girl; in the suggestion that such teaching "corrupts" children, with everything that such a charge implies; and in its singling out of groups of people with whose sexuality the group disagrees."

The National Post, apologizing for running an advertisement by the Institute for Canadian Values, arguing against Ontario school curriculum for junior kindergarten and Grade 3 that includes instruction about transsexual/transgender/intersexed/two-spirited issues.

But weren't they aware of the content of the ad prior to it being printed? Certainly they have copy editors. It's easy to apologise as an afterthought, but one would think they knew exactly what they were printing
