You'd think all schools would have heard about Ryan White by now, but apparently the prestigious Milton Hershey boarding school doesn't teach modern history. The Pennsylvania school has denied admission to an HIV+ student claiming large_milton_hershey_school.jpeghe's a threat to the other students' health.

His lawyer has filed a discrimination suit in U.S. District Court that alleges that the Hershey School "violated multiple anti-discrimination laws" by not admitting the boy based on him being HIV Positive.
The private boarding school doesn't deny that they rejected the boy's admission because of concerns for the health and safety of fellow students.
Milton Hershey School released a statement Wednesday saying in part that "in order to protect our children in this unique environment, we cannot accommodate the needs of students with chronic communicable diseases that pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others."

The school claims that since they're a boarding school, students could have sex while administrators aren't watching. Un-fucking-believable. How appropriate that the story broke on World AIDS Day.

Video from the local NBC affiliate after the break.
