Today, ACT UP is celebrating their 25th anniversary by marching and protesting on Wall Street. Joined by the Occupy Wall Street movement, these two groups are pushing a Financial Speculation Tax that could support up to 15 million people by 2015, possibly ending the AIDS pandemic.

Several protesters donned Robin Hood costumes and chained themselves together, blocking traffic in the Wall Street area. While there has been arrests, no one has been harmed.

If you don't know about ACT UP, please take some to read about their movement and accomplishments. They are a great example of fierce activism.
