Gotye Hates on 'Glee'

Remember a few weeks ago when Blaine of Glee broke up with his brother with a slightly incestuous (in my warped mind at least) rendition of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know"? While we may have swooned over the siblings' crooning, turns out the original artist was less that pleased.

Gotye stated in two recent interviews with the Sunday Mail and the Herald Sun:Glee-Blaine-Brother.png

They did such a faithful arrangement of the instruments but the vocals were that pop 'Glee' style, ultra dry, sounded pretty tuned and the rock has no real sense, like it's playing to you from a cardboard box.

It made it sound dinky and wrong.

Since the episode aired, Gotye's original version has flown to the top of the charts, so I personally wouldn't complain so much.

Check out both versions after the jump. Who did it best, or is it even worth comparing?
