White House's Carney Grilled Over ENDA Executive Order

White House spokesperson Jay Carney was grilled by reporters yesterday during the press briefing about the administration's decision not to issue an executive order banning federal contractors from discriminating based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Carney was unable to give a good reason why President Obama supports ENDA but refuses to give over a million workers protections now since the legislation has no hope of passage until 2013 at the earliest.
