willie-robertson-duck-dynasty.jpgWillie Robertson, star of Duck Dynasty and CEO of Duck Commander, told CNN's Kyra Phillips today that he believes "what the Bible says" about gay people, standing behind controversial anti-gay comments made in December by his father, Phil.

"[Phil Robertson] paraphrased First Corinthians, where it talks about homosexuals, male prostitutes, drunkards, thieves.. that they're all the same. Is that what you believe?" Phillips asked. Robertson responded:

"That's what First Corinthians says... I believe what the Bible says, and so if that's what [God] says, to put those in... now, you have to read the Bible and make up your own mind. You have to decide... That's how it was said, yeah."

Reminder: the Bible says that gays should be put to death.

Speaking of decisions, I wrote back in January that in the wake of the controversy, viewers were abandoning Duck Dynasty by the millions. That trend has apparently continued: last week's episode was the series' least-watched installment since November 2012.

Too bad, so sad eh?

CNN's interview with Willie Robertson and his wife Korie is after the jump.
