pakman-klingenschmitt.jpgProgressive talk-show phenom David Pakman interviewed anti-gay crackpot preacher Colorado state representative-elect Gordon Klingenschmitt on The David Pakman Show yesterday, The Advocate reports:

Klingenschmitt was apparently seeking to present a more mainstream image in his appearance on The David Pakman Show, which is syndicated nationally on radio and television. But that didn't stop him from denouncing the "tyrannical judges" who have "imposed" same-sex marriage on many states. "I think this year's election was a repudiation of that judicial tyranny," Klingenschmitt said.

Klingenschmitt also said he wouldn't try to legislate exorcisms of gay people, despite his penchant for the practice and his previous claims of a 50% success rate in "curing" homosexuality using this method.

Pakman asked Klingenschmitt how, given his homophobic views, he'd be able to work with openly gay Colorado House speaker Mark Ferrandino. Klingenschmitt said that he will "probably tone down the [anti-gay] rhetoric" once he's in office.

I don't know about you, but I'm not holding my breath.
